The last Joint Staff Training Event (Assessment Centre) was coordinated by PPPLearn on 22nd February 2023.
The objective of the event was to train all project partners in respect to the Assessment Center procedures. Particularly, a full training program was organized in respect to the implementation of assessment tools and the Center.
The event was held for three days providing the opportunity for project partner to be trained on the various tools both theoretically but also practically since four (4) young students participated in various simulation cases and workshops.
The pilot Assessment Center aims to systemize the process of soft skills evaluation through the use of case studies. Assessment Centers have gained recognition as systematic and rigorous means of identifying behavior for the purposes of recruitment, selection, promotion and development. This evaluation method is most suitable for a shipping company however it is not a common practice in the sector.
On the final day of the event, the project partners held a workshop with the participation of industry’s key stakeholders so as to receive practical feedback on implementation issues.
